Albert Einstein who was famous for his famous inventions, theories and findings such as Quantum Theory of Light, Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein Refrigerator, etc. His IQ was 160.

Stephen Hawking who was famous with his scientific works like theoretical prediction that the black hole emits radiation. His IQ was 160.

Nikola Tesla who was also famous with his inventions such as Tesla Coil, remote Control, Radio, Tesla Turbine, Tesla Valve, etc. His IQ was 160

These famous legends were also known for their high-level IQ’s. But did you know there is a person who was more than 160 IQ level? I bet you don’t know who he was, and I’ll share with you who.

William James Sidis

He was from Manhattan, New York City, United States. His IQ was 250- 300 or in other words he is the smartest person who ever lived. Any record of his IQ testing has been lost to time. So modern historians are forced to estimate. He was the eldest son of Borris Sidis and Sarah Mandelbaum. His younger sister is Helena “Blessie” Sidis. He was born on 1 April, 1898.

William James Sidis also known as American Child Prodigy with exceptional mathematician and linguistic skills. At the age of 18 months he started to read. When he was 6 years old he learned different languages such as French, German, Russian, Hebrew, Turkish, Armenian, etc. He began to write novels, poems and even a constitution for a potential utopia. By the age of 9, he studied at the most prestigious in the United States, Harvard University. While he was still a student in 1910, he lectured the Harvard Mathematical Club on the incredibility complex of four dimensional bodies.

He graduated from Harvard University when he was 16 years old in late 1914. He is notable for his 1920 book “The Animate and Inanimate” which he speculates about the origin of life in the context of thermodynamics. He wrote the book in 1925. He invented a language he called Vendergood. The Vendergood language was a constructed language he wrote when he was 8 years old. The language was mostly based on Latin and Greek, though there are also components of German, French and other Romance Languages. Vendergood is also known as the Artificial Language. But despite his intelligence, he struggled to fit in with a world full of people who didn’t understand him.

Yet why he isn’t famous?

Before he officially graduated at the Harvard University at the the age of 16, he said to the reporters that he wants to live peacefully with no attention and fame, with freedom cause he hates the crowd. However, William James Sidis courted controversy when he was arrested at a Boston May Day Socialist March in 1919. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison for rioting and assaulting a police officer but he had actually done neither.

He took menial jobs such as low-level accounting work. But when he was recognized or his colleagues knew he was, he would promptly quit. In the media, Sidis was reported that he vows to remain celebate and “never to marry” and he said that women don’t appeal to him. However he had developed strong affection for Martha Foley, one year older than him. He later enrolled at Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Science to sue her. (Martha)

At the age of 46, he died due to Brain Hemorrhage on July 17, 1944 in South Boston, Massachusetts, United States. He never had a child and even a wife. His love of his life will forever be in his heart.

Even though he isn’t famous for what he is and what he has done. He had a great history.
